Testimonials

We have never once regretted having Nick as our marketing consultant. He is just brilliant at thinking out of the box and making us do the same. We decided very early on that we just had to trust him because we are lawyers and not so good at selling things!

Nick is enthusiastic and extremely pro active which is infectious and makes us want to excel at attracting the clients we really want.

He is now an integral and indispensable part of our team.

Julie Glynn, Partner, Glynns Solicitors.

"Since we have involved Nick in marketing there has been a transformation in our practice. Whilst previously we had plodded along for 10 years picking up all sorts of work via word of mouth and local networking , thanks to Nick we now have focus and are attracting the sort of work and clients that we want on a daily basis. Nick is innovative and proactive. He doesn't believe in putting off until tomorrow anything that can be done today. He is results oriented and we can already, after a relatively short period of time, see results"

Jenny Batchelor, Batchelor Myddelton Solicitors.

"I have met various consultants over the years and have always been cautious when engaging their services. However, the difference with Nick is that as a solicitor he really understands my business so that saves a lot of time. When you add to that his proven marketing experience and the fact that he consistently provides a high return on investment for my practice (ie wins me new instructions and new clients every single month) I have no hesitation in recommending him."

Legal Newsletters For Solicitors

If you are a small to medium sized firm of solicitors you do not usually have a marketing department. However, you realise from reading websites like this one that it is vital that your clients receive some communication from you on a regular basis, ideally at least monthly but in my opinion a lot more. However, without a marketing department to write and send this newsletter for you, and with your fee earners too busy earning fees to do it, how can you keep in touch and win new business?

You Need A Simple System For Your Legal Newsletter

The important point is to make the writing of your legal newsletter as simple as possible. Your clients are short of time so they do not need pages and pages of content, but they absolutely do need to hear from you regularly or you will lose them to your compeititors. Your prospects may only need your services from time to time, and it is vital that when that time comes, your name is the first legal practice that springs to mind. You have to keep communicating with them.

Not Stiff Legal Content

I understand sales and marketing very well, it is my business to do so. I also understand the legal world very well as that has been my business for over 21 years. Most newsletters for solicitors are incredibly "stiff" and "dry" in content. For a newsletter to sell more of your services it MUST be easy for your clients to read. Your clients are not solicitors so they want easy to read and easy to understand information. Once they realise that the issue you are talking about relates to them that is when they call you. That is the sole purpose of the newsletter, so why do so many newsletters try to explain the full statute and case law to individuals or business owners who have absolutely no interest in that depth of subject matter?

Buy In The Content For Your Legal Newsletter?

There are many services offering to supply you with ready made content and newsletters, but this completely misses the whole point of marketing: Marketing MUST be unique and from you exclusively (not content that is shared with another 100 solicitors every single month).

Marketing is about creating a relationship between your business and your client's business or with them as an individual client. How on earth can you expect to achieve this if you are sending non descript, generic (and usually incredibly dull) content to them? Quite simply, you really cannot can you. In my opinion as a marketer of 20+ years you are better off not doing a newsletter than doing one with content written by somebody else and supplied to hundreds of different law firms.

So What Should You Do?

The answer is to have your own content, in an informative legal newsletter which engages clients and prospects so that when the time comes, they choose you and would not even think of choosing anyone else. How do you obtain such a newsletter? Well thankfully this part is easy, you ask for more information about my "Done For You" Legal Newsletters service, including details of the costs and how the service works, then when you realise it is so incredibly cost effective, you go ahead and sign up (no long term commitment so you can very quickly see if it works for you).
