There has been no “eat out to help out” scheme for the legal profession, so as we are officially now in recession (what a surprise folks), it means you have to work out how to thrive all on your lonesome.
The stamp duty holiday has led to conveyancing departments never being busier, employment law is thriving with a lot of settlement agreements being completed and litigation has firmly woken up (there is nothing like a recession to give litigation a boost).
The only trouble is that if you operate normal business hours of, say, 9 to 5.30 pm, there are 15.5 hours each day that your law firm is closed for new business enquiries.
Yes, it is closed more than it is open.
That’s shocking, isn’t it?
The good news is that it can be open for those additional 15.5 hours with absolutely no extra effort on your part.
