Hi, I’m Nick Jervis and I work with law firm owners who are keen to grow their law firm easily and consistently.
If you are looking to discover the most successful, cost effective forms of marketing for solicitors across the UK, you are in the right place. I am a legal marketing specialist, non-practising solicitor and someone who enjoys making my solicitor clients’ lives easier. My legal marketing services are designed to deliver more clients to your law firm quickly and cost effectively.
Would you like to know how to ensure that your Legal Marketing works for you, with or without your input, on a consistent basis?
Would you like a regular and consistent flow of new client instructions for your solicitors practice?
Would you like to break through a turnover barrier for your law firm, from below £1 million to above it, or from £1-2 Million to £5 million plus?
If the answer is yes to any of these questions, then I can definitely help you in the same way that I have helped many solicitors with the same challenges before you.

“Since we’ve been working with Nick, we’ve grown quickly – back in 2013 it was just myself and my wife, and she was part-time.Now I’ve got eight staff and two offices, and we’ve never been busier.”

I established Samson Consulting in 2003 to consolidate my learning from 14 years of marketing legal services from inside a private practice and to make my services available to solicitors across the UK, Ireland and now worldwide.
Since then I have published my Amazon best selling book, The Law Firm Growth Formula, which shows solicitors exactly what they need to do to grow their practice, including how to overcome all of the obstacles that they will experience along the way.
I am a solicitor (non-practising) so I understand that it can be incredibly difficult to balance managing a law firm often with fee earning and legal marketing. I know that if you are combining these roles, a marketing deadline versus a client deadline will always lead to the marketing one coming second.
If you are not fee earning, often it is the management or staff issues that stop you making meaningful progress with your law firm marketing.
However, you are wise enough to know by now that this prevents you from reaching the next level of growth for your legal practice which is the successful level where results are consistently achieved and new clients are constantly beating a path to your door.
I have been undertaking marketing for solicitors for enough years now to know that to break this cycle you need to use automated marketing systems as much as possible.
I work with solicitors to make this happen. Can I work with you to do the same?

Marketing For Solicitors UK
There are two ways to master marketing for solicitors; the hard way or the easy way.
I am not being flippant. Often solicitors see marketing as a dark art, unsurprisingly when they are often sold dreadful marketing tools or tactics by people who enter the legal marketing industry seeing the opportunity to make a swift pound or three, leaving just as quickly when they realise that they can only sell what they sell once because it doesn’t work.
However, when you understand that great legal marketing is simply ensuring that your law firm appears in front of your ideal clients at the precise moment in time that they are looking to buy the legal services that you provide, life becomes so very much easier.
Let’s look at an example in practice and see which you think would be a more effective method of marketing your legal services.
- Someone is on facebook, looking at dancing squirrels, when your advertisement pops up in front of them asking if they need help with a divorce or an accident claim; or
- Someone heads to the world’s most powerful search engine, types in “Business Solicitor + Town Name” and is presented with your advertisement. They click through to your website, like what you have to say and call you to discover more.
The first option, facebook marketing, is a form of interruption marketing for solicitors. When the primary reason someone is doing something is not to buy your legal services, such as browsing on facebook, you will always need to spend more money to generate any enquiries and even if you manage to succeed, you will not have a motivated buyer. The reason that they are not motivated to buy your legal services is simple; they didn’t go looking for them.
Types of marketing falling into this category are called “Interruption Marketing”. They cost more and work less.
They saw your advertisement and thought “That’s vaguely interesting”, clicked on it and showed some interest, but they were not on facebook with the primary motive of finding a solicitor.
Contrast that with the second option, where someone has headed to Google with the sole intention of finding a business solicitor. They are a motivated buyer. They are looking for a solicitor to help them right now. If they find the right solicitor, they will call them and that solicitor will have a new client.
Types of marketing falling into this category of marketing are called “Attraction Marketing”. They cost less and work more.

Nothing annoys me more than a solicitor arriving at my door having spent all of their marketing budget but having nothing to show for it.
“I have worked with Nick for over a year. As well as being a thoroughly nice person to deal with he is also full of good ideas that work – and which can be implemented without costing the earth.”

Still Not Sure What To Do Next When It Comes To Marketing Your Legal Services?
If you are still reading at this point, without having taken any of the options above, I clearly haven’t persuaded you to take any action, so perhaps I haven’t yet struck a chord that resonates with you.
Let me try something else as there is one thing I do know – I really am very good at winning more clients for solicitors. It is what I do all day every day, so I don’t want you to leave my website without taking action.
Are you in the position that your law firm marketing excites you or does it scare you? Do you feel as if you are almost there, just one more tweek or change and your legal marketing will suddenly take off and produce excellent results, or does marketing your law firm always feel like walking through deep mud?
Whichever position you are in, I am certain that I can take you to the next level and ensure that your legal marketing produces a steady and consistent stream of new clients for you. It is time to move away from the peaks and troughs of new client instructions that I refer to as ‘the marketing roller coaster’ and move you towards the consistent steady flow of new clients that you would like.
“We still haven’t implemented everything that Nick has given us to do, and when we do, I reckon we’ve got around another £250,000 of revenue per year to add to our figures. And it’s not just the business that’s seen a transformation – it’s been a personal transformation too. When Nick first got involved, I was the biggest fee earner, and consequently I was reluctant to stop getting involved in cases.Nick eventually made me see that if I was serious about growing this business, that needed to change and as time has gone on I’ve taken on less and less work – now I don’t do any of it.And I only wish I’d done it earlier, because the result has been me having more time to build the business, and spending time with the people that are important to me.”
