Growing Your Law Firm Turnover With A 90 Day Plan

What my son’s 16th birthday can teach you about how to grow your law firm turnover with a 90 day business plan.

Growing Your Law Firm Turnover With A 90 Day Plan

My son Samuel is 16 today – how on earth did that happen? It seems like only yesterday that I was driving him home from hospital in Bristol, now he is a growing young man already taller than his dad.

Of course, I know how it happened really. We fed him, watered him, exercised him and hopefully taught him a few things along the way, so that day by day he has grown into what I believe is a fine young man.

If at the beginning of his life I had asked myself “how on earth do I get him from 0 to 16”, I might have panicked. But we don’t do that with life, which is why I am surprised so many solicitors do it with their law firm.

“Nick, how on earth do I get my firm from £250,000 to £2,500,000? It is such a giant leap. I can’t see how it can be done. It is too much. I might as well give up now.”

Don’t do that. Take it day by day.

Let’s start by setting a target to double your law firm turnover first, from £250,000 to £500,000. That is just twice what is coming in now. Let’s plan it all out. Let’s create a daily plan showing you how to feed, water and exercise your law firm to get it to the next stage, then when we have done that, let’s work on the next £250,000, then the next.

Before you know it, you will reach your later target, but let’s start with your £250,000 target right now. Let’s take action every day to make it happen. Then it will come.

I realise that sometimes it can seem hard to work out what you need to do, in what order, to get you from where you are now to your next target. However, it really doesn’t have to be.

I can give you a plan today to show you how to do this. I have broken the plan down into a 90 day chunk of time, splitting the days between tasks, and giving you the order of priority in which to complete each task to provide you with the best results possible for the least amount of spend.

I am posting out this plan to all Marketing4Solicitors members today. There are five spare issues, so if you would like a copy, be one of the first five to join and it is all yours (along with a whole wealth of online resources for you to make your law firm growth even easier still).

Case Study

One Partner Law Firm Changes Direction

We’ve been working with Nick about 10 years and throughout this time I have always valued his expertise.

When we first made contact with Nick we had been recommended to get in touch with him by another solicitor to “give us a hand with marketing”.

At that time we were focusing on personal injury work, but we had already decided to enter the medical negligence market.

Obviously breaking into a new market takes time and we still needed the income that came from the personal injury work to finance this going forward.

Nick put together a high conversion website which meant we had all the personal injury work that we needed allowing us to build the medical negligence side of things up gradually.

Now we specialise exclusively in medical negligence. Nick has been part of that growth in terms of strategy and the use of Google Adwords to generate good quality leads.

As part of that, he helped us with the entire website build, making it very marketing focused and it has worked extremely well.

As a result our firm has gone from strength to strength, more than doubling fee earing staff and turnover.
